Prof Robert Nicholls and others has just published a new book entitled “Broad Scale Coastal Simulation: New Techniques to Understand and Manage Shorelines in the Third Millennium” published by Springer (http://www.springer.com/us/book/9789400752573). This edited book has multiple UK and international authors and draws on the work of the Tyndall “Coastal Simulator”. The book looks at the critical challenges of coastal management recognising that multiple and interacting issues and drivers are operating. It uses North West Norfolk as an illustrative case study to examine creation of physical and socio-economic scenarios, analysis of changing coastal conditions (wetlands, erosion and flooding), stakeholder dimensions and visualisation and archiving. The wider lessons are developed with an international group of co-authors.
