Speaker: Professor Robert Nicholls
We have all seen the devastation that storms can bring to cities and communities in coastal areas of the world. The vital research of Professor Robert Nicholls focuses on long-term coastal engineering and management, especially issues of coastal impacts and adaptation to climate change, with an emphasis on sea-level rise. The future of deltaic areas, the most threatened coastal settings in the coming century, is in our hands. Come and hear about how this research is developing a tool to forecast what the UK’s coastline will look like in the future.
